It’s already been a month since the start of the new year, and the ski conditions are at their best as we are in the heart of winter at Tremblant. This week marks the halfway point of the ski season, but there are still two and a half months left to enjoy the mountain and the slopes. Additionally, the total snow accumulation continues to rise this season with new snowfall since Monday. The weekend is expected to be a bit milder than the past few days, with snow and plenty of fun on the slopes!
Forecast for the Weekend
This week has been a mix of snowstorms and sunny days at the resort. On Monday, we received a total of 10cm of fresh snow throughout the day, bringing the total to nearly 15cm by Wednesday morning. Then, the sun came out, and cold winter temperatures returned on Wednesday. The temperatures are expected to warm up a bit by the end of the week, along with another significant snowfall on the forecast for Thursday and a few more centimeters expected until Sunday.
The snow accumulations from the past few weeks have been very beneficial to the mountain. They allow us to continue offering a fully open ski domain every day to skiers and snowboarders, with the best possible conditions, even on our naturally snow-covered trails. This is, of course, in addition to the valuable work of our grooming team. They work tirelessly every evening and night on our 4 sides to keep the slopes in top condition, ensuring that you’re welcomed the next morning with beautiful corduroy.
With the sun setting later each day, our operating hours are also extended. Starting this Saturday, January 8, you’ll be able to enjoy the mountain and ski slopes until 4:00 PM, which is 30 minutes longer. This schedule will be extended as the season progresses, following the sunset hour. A reminder that it is prohibited to be on the mountain after our operation hours for safety reasons. To find out the opening hours of our lifts, check our TELUS Mountain Info Report.
TELUS MOUNTAIN INFOMountain Safety Tip of the Week: Lower the Safety Bar on the Lifts
When using the ski lifts, once everyone is seated properly, please lower the safety bar. As you approach the top of the lift, do not raise the bar too early. Wait until you are at a safe height and raise the bar at the location indicated by the signage.
