May and June mark the gradual return of summer in Mont-Tremblant. The ski season is behind us, most of the snow has melted, and the mountain slowly reopens to hikers, cyclists, festival goers, and nature lovers.
If you are looking for a quieter, gentler, and deeply restorative getaway, these two months are among the most rewarding times to experience Tremblant. It is a transitional period, just before school ends and before the peak energy of July arrives, when the destination still moves at a natural, unhurried pace.
A landscape coming back to life
This is one of the most striking visual moments of the year.
In early May, buds begin to open. The forest changes day by day, shifting from bare branches to an almost fluorescent green. Meltwater continues to rush through streams and rivers, filling the air with sound and movement. You are fully immersed in a landscape in transformation.
By June, the scenery has completely shifted. Green takes over, trails become more accessible, and the village starts to feel livelier, especially on weekends. Without being in full summer mode, the energy clearly builds as the first major events arrive.
Wildlife is also more visible during this period, making it an excellent time for photography or simply slowing down to observe the surroundings.

Activities gradually coming back
Late spring and early summer offer an ideal setting for a relaxed stay. Visitor numbers are lower, the atmosphere is calm, and days unfold without rush. This time of year is especially appealing for couples, wellness focused travellers, and anyone looking for a more intimate connection with nature.
As summer operations progressively resume, the mountain opens up step by step:
- Hiking trails gradually become accessible across the mountain
- The panoramic gondola begins offering full regional views
- Cycling paths open more widely depending on conditions
- Golf and tennis facilities welcome players again
- Spa experiences remain an ideal option on cooler days

The village and events
Even if the pace is more relaxed than during peak season, the pedestrian village remains active in May and June. Outdoor entertainment returns in mid-May, with street performers, our mascot Toufou, and balloon artist Marc Ambulles bringing a playful touch to the atmosphere. The village feels lively but never crowded.
Shops can be explored at an easy pace; restaurants are accessible, and terraces naturally invite you to linger a little longer.
In May, events tend to focus on culture and community, highlighted by moments such as BLOOMAFEST Tremblant and Miracles, setting the tone for a beautiful start to the season.
In June, the rhythm shifts. The destination moves into full motion with major events that attract both athletes and spectators. Signature gatherings such as IRONMAN, Spartan, and the NBHPA tournament turn Tremblant into a true playground for sport and endurance.
