Summer is slowly winding down, kids are heading back to school and the pace at Tremblant begins to change. After weeks of busy summer vacations, September and October are an invitation to slow down, get outside and take a break from the everyday routine.
And yet Tremblant’s summer season is far from over! The sun still warms the days as nature slowly begins its seasonal transformation. Until the leaves fall, the Laurentians offer a beautiful setting for enjoying the outdoors, whether you’re planning a few days away, a long weekend or simply a day in the mountains.
The Colours Begin to Appear
Starting in September, the forest gradually begins its transformation. The first hints of colour appear, followed by shades of yellow, orange and red that spread across the mountain, reaching peak colour season generally in late September and early October.
It’s one of the best times to explore Tremblant’s trails, take in the views from the panoramic gondola or simply admire the scenery while strolling through the pedestrian village.

Golfers can also enjoy the final weeks of the season surrounded by spectacular scenery. Le Diable and Le Géant golf courses take on a whole new look as the surrounding trees burst into colour.

A Getaway at Your Own Pace
In September and October, there’s no need to plan a packed schedule. Come to get active, but also to take your time.
Hit the trails for a hike with a view, head out for a bike ride, enjoy the last beautiful days on the lake before the boating season comes to an end, take the gondola to the summit or simply explore the pedestrian village.
Between activities, take time to enjoy a meal, browse the boutiques or sit out on a terrace when the weather allows.
The fall event lineup also brings plenty of events and activities, particularly during the fall colours season.
And as the last leaves begin to fall, the mountain gradually enters a quieter period, perfect for a getaway before winter arrives.

What to Expect from the Weather
September and October are transitional months, so conditions can vary from one day to the next.
In September, summer slowly gives way to fall. Days generally remain mild, with highs around 18 to 21°C and nighttime temperatures dropping to around 7°C. It’s a particularly enjoyable time to experience Tremblant and its outdoor activities.
In October, temperatures cool considerably. Highs typically range from 10 to 13°C, while nighttime temperatures can drop to around 3°C. The first frosts may make an appearance and, toward the end of the month, colder days can sometimes bring a mix of rain and snow.
Weather conditions can also be different on the mountain than in the pedestrian village. It’s best to pack for a range of conditions and check the forecast before you leave.

What to Pack
The key to a fall getaway in Tremblant: layers.
Bring clothing you can add or remove throughout the day, a warmer jacket for cool mornings and evenings, and a waterproof layer in case of rain. Good footwear is also essential if you plan to walk or explore the trails. Add sunglasses, sunscreen and a water bottle to your bag.
