My Kind of Adventure in Tremblant
My love for Tremblant started over 20 years ago when my parents first introduced me to the village. And here I am now, as an adult, just as curious to explore different corners of it as I was back then. I’m a big believer that you don’t have to go far or do anything extravagant to have a memorable adventure – give me an activity that gets my adrenaline going, somewhere cute to wander (especially coffee shops!), something delicious to eat, and time by the water, and I’m as happy as can be. When I recently headed to Tremblant for a summer weekend, I knew I wanted my itinerary to reflect exactly that. And luckily for you, I love to overshare and keep it real; so, my itinerary is officially yours!
DAY 1:
Adventure Begins: Sunset Views and After-Dark Wonders
Upon arriving in Tremblant, check in at the Marriot Residence Inn right in the heart of the village – hot tub and outdoor pool, breakfast included, and cozy suites with views of the hill anyone? Your journey may start here, but adventure awaits. Head out the door and straight to dinner at Yaoooo Pizza Pub for pies and pitchers. Now is your time to fuel up and hydrate, because Les Rythmes Tremblant and Tonga Lumina are on the horizon!
Les Rythmes Tremblant is a series of 13 free outdoor weekend shows at the very top of the village that are held until the end of the summer. What better way to enjoy the sunset and beautiful views of the mountains? It is the perfect sendoff into your next adventure, and my ideal evening.
Tonga Lumina is a 1.5km immersive, sensory experience mid-mountain (you need to take a chairlift to get there!) where you’ll be invited to dive deep into your imagination and explore the world of a giant. Think interactive activities, calming music, and illuminated sculptures. I don’t think I’ve ever said the word “wow” out loud more than during this activity.
DAY 2:
Pedal, Paddle and Play: A Day of Adventure and Relaxation
Today, we’re exploring the outdoors! Think fast-paced adventure, mixed in with an opportunity to slow down and relax.
Tremblant is surrounded by gorgeous nature trails, and what better way to explore them than by renting bikes! Either pick out a destination or let spontaneity and the trails guide you to new paths. But brace yourself for a few steep hills and sharp turns – although your quads might be sore from all that pedaling, the surrounding views make it worth it.
At this point you will have worked up an appetite, and I know just the spot to satisfy your cravings! Head to the newly opened Mogouyan for fresh, hand-pulled noodles, where the flavours are so rich they’ll make you forget your own name.
Now that you’re deep in food coma land, the beach will be calling your name. Plage du Lac Tremblant is the ideal spot to lounge in the sun with the mountain as your backdrop, and exhale. And if you’re a water baby like me, being near the water is your favorite place to be! If you’re looking to spice up your beach day, there are a variety of motorized and non-motorized water sports to choose from. But if you want to keep the chill vibes going, your best bet is a pedal boat – it’s the perfect excuse to slow down and enjoy the lake in no hurry and is basically the sweet spot between adventure and relaxing.
End your day with a hearty meal at La Forge; fresh entrees, juicy burgers and sandwiches, and delicious steaks are sure to be the cherry on top of what was admittedly a fantastic day. The best part? You have a direct view of a second night of Les Rythmes Tremblant. Any summer evening is truly never complete without dinner and a show.
DAY 3:
One Last Rush: Luge, Mini Putt and a Winning Finish
Sadly, we have to part ways with Tremblant today. But there is still time to squeeze in a couple of adventures!
This morning’s activity will instantly make you feel like a kid again, but with just enough competition that it’ll make you want to race everyone else down the track. Gear up and take the chairlift up the mountain to pick up your luge (a mix between a go-kart and a toboggan) – from there, you have access to a 1.4km course through the mountain that you can either take at your own pace or use as your own personal racetrack. As someone who enjoys an adrenaline rush, you can find me zooming by at top speed.
To close off the weekend, head to Le Petit Géant in the middle of the village for a round of mini putt. Nothing screams family friendly fun like seeing who will be the first to achieve a hole-in-one, and who will ultimately be crowned the champion! Not to spoil the ending, but I took home a victory that day. And this (sadly) concludes yet another fantastic weekend in Tremblant!
Having to leave Tremblant is never easy because regardless of how often I visit, I always find something new to discover. It welcomes me with open arms each time, and it feels like home. I hope this itinerary inspires you to try something new, to get out of your comfort zone, and to book that trip. And remember, if you love Tremblant and are sad to leave it – it’s never really goodbye, it’s see you later!
