It’s been quite an eventful week weather‑wise in Tremblant. The cold and snowfall are back, and we were hit by a freezing rain episode on Wednesday, which forced us to close the mountain as a preventive measure. Our teams worked hard to ensure that the lifts and trails were operational and in good condition to welcome skiers and riders as early as Thursday morning. The weekend is expected to be snowy and cold, so bundle up and we’ll see you on the slopes!

After a spring‑like week, this week has been marked by cold temperatures and freezing rain. The ski mountain was closed on Wednesday as a preventive measure to preserve our snow conditions and ensure the safety of skiers and riders. Our lift operations team worked throughout the day to keep the lifts turning, preventing them from freezing so they could be fully operational by Thursday morning. That said, the mountain reopened on Thursday with the South and North sides, and Edge and Soleil sides are planned to reopen on Friday. A major grooming operation is also underway on the mountain. We will be grooming continuously over a 36‑hour period and reopening trails progressively

Temperatures will remain cold and stable over the next few days, and a few snowfalls are also expected this weekend. This will certainly help improve the ski surface on the trails and may even allow us to reopen some glades.

Safety Tip of the Week

Take off your backpack when taking the ski lift

On chairlifts, to ensure you are seated properly, remove your backpack and place it on your lap or on the seat if space allows. This reduces the risk of accidents or of straps getting caught in the lift.
