A full first week has already been completed for the 2024-25 ski season! Thanks again to everyone who joined us last week on the red carpet to kick off the new season and who have enjoyed the slopes over the past few days.
We had a snowstorm Wednesday and Thursday at Tremblant, with 15 cm of fresh snow accumulating as of Thursday morning, and it continued to fall throughout the day, for a total of 33 cm in 48 hours. Skiers and snowboarders were able to enjoy a beautiful first powder morning of the season. As of December 5, 2024, we have 7 trails open on the North and South sides, with 6 lifts operating, including the Upper Équilibre magic carpet and the Cabriolet lift.
Forecast for the Weekend
The temperatures over the past week and those to come are more favourable for snowmaking, which will allow us to quickly open new trails and lifts. We were able to open the Upper Beauvallon and Alpine trails on the South side, serviced by the TGV lift. Additionally, the North base opened on Thursday morning with the Lower Beauchemin trail, its parking lot, and the Duncan Express lift to take skiers and snowboarders to the top of the mountain. We also opened La Fourchette du Diable building and all its services : cafeteria, lunchbox area, equipment rental, and ticket office. The return to the South base will still be via the gondola this weekend. We should also be able to open the Onésime magic carpet for beginner skiers and snowboarders, and the Snow School by Saturday. More slopes will open gradually by Sunday, and we expect to have a total of 10 slopes open by the end of the week.
For terrain park enthusiasts, our rails on the Upper Beauchemin trail are still there until the opening of the Progression Park in the Alpine trail. Our team is already working on its construction for an opening in the coming days. We also began snowmaking on the Sissy Schuss trail to open part of the Mitik Park as soon as possible.
Following the decision and announcement of the cancellation of the World Cup last weekend, much of our efforts are now focused on preparing the trails for the 24h Tremblant, which will take place from December 13 to 15. This includes the Beauvallon, Bière-en-Bas, Roy Scott, and Johannsen runs, as well as all the facilities at the base of the mountain.
December 12th is the last day to take advantage of the best prices for Ikon Pass Tonik passes. Prices for the Tonik pass will go up next Friday and Ikon Pass will go out of sale on that date. Get your pass now and enjoy the best of Tremblant all winter long.
