Building on its long-term vision, Tremblant is reaching new heights through major investments that will elevate the mountain experience for generations to come. With the development of Timber Summit, a brand-new ski sector featuring eight trails and a new high-speed chairlift for the 2027/28 winter season, along with a new beginner learning area at Versant Soleil opening in 2026/27, Tremblant will offer guests even more ways to explore, progress, and enjoy everything the mountain has to offer.
Reaching the top of Timber Summit
Representing a $42.5 million investment, this project reflects Tremblant’s long-term commitment to enhancing the mountain experience by increasing its hourly lift capacity by 10%. It also supports the continued growth of Versant Soleil, strengthened by the confirmed presence of Club Med Tremblant.

A New Learning Destination for Beginner Skiers
Coming Winter Season 2026/27
Ahead of the Timber Summit opening, Tremblant will introduce a new dedicated learning area at the base of Versant Soleil for this upcoming winter season. Designed specifically with first-time skiers in mind, this new space will provide a welcoming and purpose-built environment where guests can build confidence, develop their skills and discover the joy of skiing.
Located adjacent to the Casino Express Gondola, the new learning area will open for this 2026/27 season and will be accessible on weekends and during peak periods, providing an ideal setting for first-time skiers and Snow School programs. The gentle terrain and dedicated infrastructure will be designed to support progression from guests’ very first turns through the early stages of their skiing journey.
Key features include:
- A covered surface lift (covered magic carpet) providing easy and comfortable access to the learning terrain
- A dedicated 1.1-acre beginner learning area offering ample space for instruction and skill development
- Gentle terrain with an average slope of approximately 13 degrees ideal for building confidence and mastering fundamental skills
- A snowmaking system to provide full coverage for this new area
Timber Summit: A New Dimension of the Tremblant Experience
Coming Winter Season 2027/28
The centerpiece of the project is the development of Timber Summit, adding 62 acres of new skiable terrain served by a new high-speed quad chairlift.
The new terrain will include:
- 8 new ski trails
- 7 toward Versant Soleil
- 1 toward Tremblant’s North Side
- A vertical drop of 428 meters toward Versant Soleil
- A balanced terrain mix designed for a wide range of skiers:
- 35% beginner (green)
- 60% intermediate (blue)
- 5% expert (black)
- Complete snowmaking coverage across all new skiable terrain
Guests will access the new terrain via the Timber Express, a detachable high-speed quad chairlift featuring:
- Capacity of 2,400 skiers per hour
- Length of 1,800 meters
- Vertical rise of 423 meters
- 125 chairs
- Lift technology comparable to Tremblant’s Lowell Thomas Express
Timber Summit expansion scheduled to welcome skiers for the 2027/28 winter season
This new announcement significantly expands Tremblant’s development vision first unveiled in 2020. Since the original concept was presented, the project has evolved and has been enhanced to better align with the resort’s long-term ambitions. As a result, the total investment has increased, reflecting Tremblant’s ongoing commitment to continuously elevating its world-class skiing experience while creating new opportunities for guests, families, and future generations of skiers and snowboarders. With Timber Summit, guests will have more reasons than ever to come back to the top.
