At Tremblant, we have a deep commitment to the environment and actively work to reduce our carbon footprint in our daily operations. Despite our efforts to minimize emissions, we recognize that it is sometimes unavoidable to emit carbon. Therefore, we have implemented various carbon offset initiatives to neutralize our environmental impact. Together, let’s make a difference for our planet!

Flat Rate Offset

With every online booking, our guests have the option to offset their carbon footprint with a $10 contribution. All funds collected are donated in full each year to Carbon Boréal, which uses them to plant trees and support decarbonization research at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. The plantings take place mainly in Quebec’s boreal forest, as well as on unused agricultural land. As of December 17, 2025, more than 3,540 trees have been planted since the program began in 2021, offsetting over 496 tons of CO2.

Event-Based Offset

Our major events, such as IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant, 24h Tremblant, and the Tremblant World Cup, systematically include donations to Carbon Boréal in their budgets. These contributions aim to offset the greenhouse gas emissions generated by the organization of these events. By incorporating these offset practices, we strengthen our commitment to a more sustainable future.

Local Reforestation and Collective Clean-up

Since 2023, we have launched a local reforestation project on former ski slopes at Tremblant, called “1 Hire = 1 Tree.” This innovative project won our first eco-friendly idea contest, organized internally among our employees.

In parallel, we also organize Collective Clean-Up each year at the end of fall and the beginning of spring. This clean-up initiative is done in partnership with TELUS. For every pound of waste collected, TELUS donates $5 to our eco-friendly program. Through this collaboration, a total of $10,000 has been collected over the past two years to support the “1 Hire = 1 Tree” project.

To date, more than 1,310 trees have been planted as part of this initiative, offsetting approximately 185 tons of CO2.

At Tremblant, we firmly believe that every action counts towards protecting our planet. Our carbon offset initiatives are just a part of our ongoing efforts to reduce our environmental impact. We are determined to continue our actions for a greener and more sustainable future, and we thank all our visitors and partners who support these initiatives.
