Even if the ski season is coming to an end soon, there is still a lot of snow covering the mountain! Skiing conditions vary greatly according to temperatures. You can expect more or less hard surfaces in the morning as the mercury will remain around the freezing point during the night. Expect spring conditions in the afternoon.

Come and enjoy a weekend full of action. The Caribou Cup and its famous water basin crossing will take place this Saturday. For this edition, come and see downhill skiing world champion Erik Guay try his luck at crossing and join a tribute in his honour that will take place at Place St-Bernard at 12:30 p.m. On Sunday, snowboarders aged 12 and under will have the opportunity to get tips and improve their freestyle skills during the Burton El Niño camp.

In addition to enjoying all the events on the mountain this weekend, we invite you to take in the warm sunrays at the summit or on top of the Flying Mile run. At the bottom of the North Side, hay bales have been installed to let you sit and enjoy the spectacular view on the Expo!

While it is tempting to spend the last few hours of the day at the top of the mountain, note that when the lifts are closed, ski patrollers will ask you to ski down so they can “sweep” the mountain and leave no one behind. Please respect their instructions, this is for your safety. The grooming machines start working their magic as soon as the slopes are closed.

In addition, in typical heavy snow spring conditions, it is important to plan your last runs carefully. Always pick slopes that are within your skill level, especially for the last run of the day when your legs are inevitably more tired.

Enjoy your last weekends on the mountain!
