For more than 20 years, Station Mont Tremblant has been committed to sustainable development, taking concrete action to protect its natural environment for the benefit of future generations. In 2023, Tremblant became the first company in Québec to achieve Level 4 certification in the Ecoresponsible Program of the Sustainable Industries Council, controlled by Ecocert Canada.
A Structured and Recognized Commitment
Starting in 2016, Tremblant set up its Sustainable Development Committee, adopted its eco-responsible charter and launched its first strategic action plan. Driven by the will to embed sustainability into its business model, the resort joined the Ecoresponsible Program developed by the Council of Sustainable Industries. The goal: promote better practices among suppliers, guests and partners, while positively influencing all activities related to products, services and infrastructure. Tremblant earned its first certification in 2017, and reached the program’s highest level of recognition five years later.

2017: Level 1 – Engagement
Laying the groundwork. Tremblant formalizes its approach with responsible governance and publicly commits to sustainable development.
2019: Level 2 – Performance
Action backed by results. Using concrete indicators, Tremblant tracks its progress and proves the real impact of its initiatives.
2021: Level 3 – Optimum
Sustainability becomes second nature. Responsible practices are now fully embedded across all operations — from the mountain to the village.
2023: Level 4 – Elite
A new standard is set. Tremblant becomes a recognized leader in its industry for its tangible results and commitment to sustainability.
“Environmental issues are certainly a priority for us, but this type of program has a much broader impact—it helps educate our employees, visitors and children on healthy environmental practices that go well beyond our facilities. Our goal is to ensure future generations can enjoy nature-filled experiences as rich and fulfilling as those we live today.” – Patrice Malo, President and Chief Operating Officer of Mont Tremblant Resort
Your Collaboration is Important
Achieving Level 4 Elite recognizes the result of ongoing work in sustainable development. With this acknowledgment, Tremblant aims to continue its efforts and seeks greater support for implementing its action plan, whether through various grant programs or from stakeholders who are encouraged to actively support this approach by adopting new eco-responsible practices. In the face of the climate crisis, collaboration from all parties is essential to create a lasting collective impact for future generations.
