When we think of Mont Tremblant, we often picture its snowy slopes and ski days. Yet, when the snow melts and summer sets in, the mountain transforms completely into a vast playground for trail running enthusiasts. For Alexandra, Tremblant is much more than just a ski mountain. Discover the trails through her eyes.

Its many trails offer a wide variety of routes suitable for both beginners and experienced runners. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing outing in nature or a significant physical challenge, there’s something for everyone. For those who enjoy long distances and elevation gain, the famous “Summits Loop” is, in her view, a must-do. This route takes you across the mountain’s three peaks—Pic Johanssen, Edge, and Tremblant (Pic White)—for an impressive total elevation gain of over 1,000 meters. It’s a demanding adventure, but incredibly rewarding, with spectacular viewpoints all along the way.

On the other hand, those seeking a gentler, more contemplative experience can take the multifunctional trail that runs along the beautiful Devil’s River. This route offers the chance to admire Mont-Tremblant’s natural scenery while enjoying an accessible and pleasant outing.

One of the aspects she particularly appreciates about Tremblant’s trails is that most of them are dog-friendly. Outdoor enthusiasts can therefore share their adventure with their four-legged companion and explore the mountain together. Alexandra often takes advantage of this with her own dog, Alo, or even with her partner and his dog, Blazer. Whether it’s for a short outing or a full day on the trails, dogs are always welcome during the summer season, making the experience even more enjoyable and friendly. Of course, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, and it is everyone’s responsibility to clean up after them to keep the trails clean.

Beyond its trails, Tremblant also continues to grow its running community. In 2025, the resort launched a running club called La Foulée du Nord, offering free runs open to everyone. This season, runners can meet up twice a week—on Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon—right in front of the Magasin de la Place shop on Rue des Remparts. A great opportunity to discover the trails, meet fellow enthusiasts like her, and stay active in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere!

Whether it’s to take on a challenge, admire the scenery, or simply enjoy the outdoors, trail running at Tremblant allows her to experience the mountain from a completely different perspective. One thing is certain: once you’ve had a taste of it, it’s hard not to want to come back.

Essential Gear to Bring on Your Outing

The good news: most of this gear is also available in the shops of Tremblant’s pedestrian village.

  • Hydration vest or belt
  • Water flask (she recommends ones with a built-in filter so you can refill directly from rivers)
  • Sports nutrition
  • Sunscreen
  • Running cap
  • Good trail shoes
