It’s time to cheer on our Athlete Ambassadors loud and clear! This year, six of them are qualified for the Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Who are they? What are their disciplines? When are their races? Good luck to our ambassador athletes and congratulations again for their qualifications!
Alpine Skiing – Women
After coming a long way following an injury in December during a training session in Livino, Italy, Valerie Grenier managed to match her best performance in the World Cup with a fourth place in the giant slalom on January 8. Now she is qualified for the Games! We can’t wait to watch Valérie participate in her various alpine skiing events.
Snowboard – Parallel Giant Slalom – Men
Arnaud Gaudet and Jules Lefebvre are preparing to take part in their very first Olympic Games. These two athletes will be competing in the snowboard parallel giant slalom event. We will have the chance to see them push their limits on February 7 starting at 9:30 p.m.
Freestyle Skiing – Women’s Ski Cross
On February 16 at 10:30 p.m. we will have the chance to follow Brittany Phelan and Hannah Schmidt in the ski cross event!
Silver medalist at the Pyeongchang Olympics in 2018, Brittany is participating in the third Games of her career. Hannah will be living her Olympic dream for the first time. Take a look at the sporting journeys of our female ambassadors on our latest blog “Spotlight on our female ambassadors”
Freestyle Skiing – Men’s Ski Cross
Jared Schmidt will be competing in the men’s ski cross event on February 17 at 10:45 p.m. The youngest of the Schmidt family joined the national team in the 2018/19 season. He reached second place on the podium this season at the Ski Cross World Cup held in Bakuriani, Georgia.
