Dogs are an important part of many families, and, at Tremblant, your four-legged friends are always welcome. Indeed, dogs are allowed on the mountain and in several places in the village. Please note that your dog must always be kept on a leash during your visit. Here is everything you can do with your dog at Tremblant.
Panoramic Gondola
Your dog can also enjoy the view in the panoramic gondola in summer and fall. Bring them to the summit for a some fresh air and to see the different viewpoints on the Laurentians, in addition to the 360 observation tower for the best view at Tremblant. They are also allowed in the Casino Express gondola in summer only. Note that the Casino Express gondola does not go to the top of the mountain. It links the pedestrian village to the base of Versant Soleil.
Hiking Trails
Want to make them expend some energy? Your friend is welcome for a walk in nature on our various hiking trails on the mountain, except for certain park preservation sectors (Parben and Johannsen trails, and a portion of the Sommets trail). It is, of course, important to keep your dog on a leash throughout the activity and to pick up after them.
Pedestrian Village
Dogs are also allowed in the pedestrian village throughout the year when kept on a leash. Many businesses leave a bowl of water in front of their door for your dog to drink. Also, several bag dispensers are installed in the village to pick up after them in case you forgot to bring some.
On the Water
The Pierre Plouffe Nautical Center, located on the shores of Lake Tremblant, offers motorized boat rentals, such as pontoons. Indeed, it is allowed to bring aboard a maximum of one dog per pontoon to enjoy a beautiful ride along the 12 kilometers-long Lake Tremblant during the warm summer days. However, they are not allowed on other motorized boats, as well as non-motorized vessels.
Events
The majority of events at Tremblant are free and open to all, including your four-legged friends! Indeed, dogs are welcome to take part in our various events throughout the year in the pedestrian village and in the summer season only on the mountain, when kept on a leash, of course. It is also the owner’s duty to judge whether your dog is fit to be in large crowds or not, since our events very often attract a lot of people.
Shops and Restaurants
Several shops in the pedestrian village allow dogs inside when you ask them. Shops who accept dogs inside should have a badge saying so in their front door to let people know. Some even have treats to offer them. Ask and pooch shall receive!
As for restaurants, under the new MAPAQ regulations, dogs are now allowed on terraces. However, dogs are still not permitted inside establishments, except for identified guide and service dogs. All our restaurants offer take-out options, so you can always enjoy their food while sitting in the village.
Lodging
Want to spend the night in Tremblant with your dog? The Fairmont Tremblant and Le Westin Tremblant in the pedestrian village accept pets in their hotel rooms under certain conditions. Check with the establishment to find out their policy on this matter.
