It’s already spring skiing season at the resort with warm weather and softer ski conditions, but the season is far from over.

Despite the warmer temperatures of the last few days and the next, we still have a lot of snow on our trails and therefore a lot of open terrain. Currently, we have nearly 70 trails open on 3 sides (South, North and Soleil) and 3 terrain parks. The Edge side was closed Thursday, but will be open to skiers and snowboarders Friday and for the weekend. The Adrénaline and Progression snowparks were also getting some work done on Thursday and will reopen on Friday, March 8. We invite you to check our mountain report for real-time data and the opening status of ski lifts and trails at all time.

After several consecutive days of warm weather, including at night, freezing temperatures have finally returned. This is excellent news because the cold allows snow groomed to do a better job. We have selected the most important trails in which we will put more energy between now and the end of the season, and developed a plan to recover as quickly as possible from this mild weather episode. Indeed, when the snow is very soft, the snow groomers lack traction and this limits their ability to bring snow up the trails and thicken thinner areas. In warm snow conditions, all grooming work takes considerably longer.

The long-term forecast predicts beautiful spring skiing weather with temperatures generally above freezing during the day. Nighttime temperatures will be below zero, which will allow our experienced and passionate snow grooming team to work miracles on a daily basis to deliver great ski conditions.

Spring vibe is starting to settle in on the mountain, but also in the pedestrian village with the opening of several of our terraces. It is the time of the year to enjoy the après-ski outdoors under the sun on one of our terraces at Place Saint-Bernard, Promenade Deslauriers, on Rue des Remparts or in Old Tremblant.
