We have 44 open trails as of today!
The past week has been very productive in terms of snow making. In fact, we made snow for 5 consecutives days last week from Sunday to Thursday. Despite the marginal temperatures by day, our teams were able to progress well in their operations. The system started again on Sunday and we should be able to make snow until Thursday evening according to the weather predictions.
On the subject of weather, we are keeping a close eye on the forecast that seems to be leaning towards snow although the risk of rain persists. We unfortunately had to close the mountain on Friday morning, December 23, due to extreme weather conditions. See our mountain report for more details.
Good news! The versant Soleil is now officially open as of Thursday morning with the Algonquin and Franc Sud trails. We will also be putting in operation the Porte du Soleil lift in the P2 parking for the beginning of the weekend with Sentier des Pruches trail, that leads to the South side, and Carriole trail to versant Soleil. The Équilibre Haut carpet will also be opening Saturday to expand the learning area for new skiers and snowboarders. The snow announced from Thursday night to Saturday should allow us to open several trails in natural snow as well as some glades, and if the forecast snow shows up, we will be offering more than 50 trails during the weekend. We would therefore have 50% of our skiable terrain open for the Holidays!
What’s Going On in the Pedestrian Village
From December 23 to January 8, the pedestrian village transforms itself into a Christmas village with activities, entertainment, musical atmosphere, and much more every day on Place Saint-Bernard. And do not miss Santa Claus’ visit on December 35 from 13h to 16h before he goes back to the North pole. See the detailed daily schedule online.
