It’s going to be a big weekend at the mountain! The Tremblant’s 24h, our most important fundraising event of the year, kicks off tonight with a party for the participants. After several months of collecting donations for the three foundations benefited by the 24h, teams of walkers, skiers and runners will get to party at the Chalet des Voyageurs. Saturday at noon is when the start will be launched for participants, who will relay until noon Sunday. The atmosphere will be electric at the base of the mountain Saturday evening, with musical performances by Mélissa Laverge and her guests, along with headliners Radio Radio.

In anticipation of this major event, our Snow Operations team was busy getting everything set on the slopes to make our skiers happy. The trails used for the 24-hour course, the Crête, the Beauvallon, the Alpine and the Roy Scott, have been a priority in the snowmaking operations since the beginning of our winter season. Thanks to a powerful system and a boost from Mother Nature, we are able to deliver a quality product in time for the participants this weekend.

In addition to the sections reserved for the 24h, the progress made this week allows us to also extend the ski area in the rest of the mountain. We’re therefore planning to offer a total of 20 open trails by Sunday including  Taschereau,  Desserre, Johannsen and Onésime, which will allow the public to ski down to the base of the South side. Cold temperatures in the weather forecast will allow us to maintain this wonderful momentum in snow production.

We wish a good and safe 24h to all the participants, supporters and organizers out there this weekend 🙂

See you on the slopes!
