The Tremblant International Blues Festival has become well rooted in the heart of festival-goers who, since July 3, have taken advantage of the pedestrian village’s intimate setting to enjoy over one hundred free shows. Sunshine and fine temperatures rendezvoused at this year’s Festival that showcased artists from the four corners of the globe, to perform on five outdoor stages and at a dozen cafés, restaurants and bars.

The Festival has never been so interactive or up close and personal as it has been this year. Completing the show offer were unique performances from balconies, street blues, blues dance parties…
With an air guitar contest, graffiti workshops – including a few dedicated to the memory of B.B. King – fans and neophytes alike could appreciate a rich spectrum of blues.
A few 2015 highlights and 22nd Edition favourites
From traditional blues to its R & B, funk, country, folk and rock influences, the 22nd edition of TIBF featured shows for every taste, and many were big crowd pleasers. New discoveries included Irish singer-songwriter Grainne Duffy, Australian duo Hat Fitz & Cara, and Ontarians Angelique Francis and Andria Simone who all conquered their audiences. Hardcore blues fans truly enjoyed the Acoustic Summit’s Tribute to CCR, Southern Hospitality, Sugaray Rayford, Philip Sayce, a return visit by Victor Wainwright and new sounds by the Pimps of Joytime and The Bros Landreth. Performing on Place Saint-Bernard’s Casino Stage, Bobby Bazini along with the Porn Flakes with Sébastien Plante & Lulu Hugues put on shows worthy of larger concert venues, and both posted record-breaking weekday attendance numbers. The event programming team is already focused on the Festival’s 23rd edition, scheduled to take place July 8 – 17 2016.
