Another winter season ends this weekend! It will be highlighted by Easter festivities and we are inviting you to take advantage of these last few days to explore an exceptional number of open trails for this time of the year. With over 600 cm of snow falls this winter, we will be able to open most trails all the way to the end, even with the rain we got today! Even the glades are still accessible and soft mogul adepts will enjoy the Expo and Cossak on the North Side! The conditions are excellent throughout the morning and, as snow softens more quickly on the North and Soleil sides, aim to hit trails on those sides early on. You’ll be able to ski or ride the runs from top to bottom until the very end of the day. Check the closing times of the lifts since they have been adjusted for this period.

Major mechanical maintenance work is planned in between the seasons at the top of the Express Gondola. Deadlines are very tight since we are only a few weeks away from reopening this lift for the summer season! The maintenance team is also already working on the pulley trains of the Edge, Duncan and Soleil lift towers for the fall.

One of the first steps after the season closing will be to clear snow from the access road leading to the summit to bring up a crane and a float for removal of equipment to be refurbished.

Maintenance work will be ongoing throughout the summer. All ski lifts and the entire snowmaking system will be checked and maintained while trails and glades will be cleared to prepare for another exceptional season for 2019-2020.

As long as there is snow on the mountain, skiers may be tempted to walk up to ski. Note that access to the trails is prohibited when the mountain is not in operation, for safety reasons.

This snow conditions blog will be replaced by articles on mountain conditions this summer!
