With the school year starting up again and the changing seasons, this is an excellent time to start practicing new activities. We are lucky enough to be surrounded by a vast outdoor playground that offers us the opportunity to fill our lungs with fresh air. With the beautiful scenery and cooler weather, fall is the perfect season to enjoy it and move outside!

It’s been proven! Spending more time outdoors is beneficial to your health. Here’s how:

1 Breath it in. Moving regularly in the fresh air encourages blood circulation and regenerates your cells, which in turn stimulates your immune system.

2 Keep calm and go outside. Spending time in a natural surrounding provides a moment of healing and relaxation which helps to reduce stress and increases your sense of well-being.

3 Move to nature’s groove. Practicing outdoor activities will tend to lower blood pressure by decreasing the activity of the body’s nervous system. It dilates blood vessels and decreases the hormones involved in hypertension.

4 Go into the light. Natural sunlight is our main source of vitamin D. This vitamin has an essential role to play in the use of calcium in the body, in muscle function and in cell growth. Studies also seem to show a possible efficacy of vitamin D in the prevention of certain cancers, diabetes and diseases involving the immune system.

To derive maximum benefits from being in nature, you can combine it with the practice of physical activity. With our kilometers of hiking and cycling trails and quality sports facilities, Tremblant is sure to be the best place for your fall activities!

Stay tuned for more!
